Research & Draft gets smarter about what is actually useful
Research is only valuable when it improves the message.
This week we improved the way Nudge evaluates external research before using it in a follow-up.
Thread first, research second
The existing email conversation always remains the source of truth.
Nudge can use:
The current email thread
Previous relevant communication with the same contact
Cleanlist enrichment
Apollo enrichment
Public web research
But external research is treated as an enhancement, not a reason to invent personalization.
Better research filtering
Nudge now avoids superficial lines based only on facts such as:
Job title
Company location
Employee count
Generic industry information
Instead, it looks for something that is actually relevant to the open conversation.
For example, a recent product launch, expansion, funding announcement or business change may be useful if it connects naturally to what you were already discussing.
If the external research is weak, Nudge simply writes the best follow-up it can from the conversation itself.
That is intentional.
Good personalization should make the email more relevant — not make it obvious that a system scraped information about the recipient.
